24 earned media interviews (14 in Top 50 markets)

  • 14 television interviews
  • 10 radio interviews

Overview

4media group was approached by a global credit reporting company to devise a way of delivering important consumer information focused around the COVID-19 pandemic, but to do so in a socially responsible manner. The result was a fully virtual satellite media tour – a first for the public relations industry – turned around in an amazing 72 hours with none of the participants ever occupying the same space.

Challenge

With millions throughout the United States suddenly out of work due to the coronavirus outbreak, credit issues have become an immediate concern for many Americans.  The client had vital, useful information to convey regarding federal and industry programs consumers could access to protect their credit history during an unprecedented time. Since communities all over the country were practicing self-isolation or are in actual lockdown, a satellite media tour was the most effective mean

s of reaching the desired audience. But with the social distancing directive in place, the message had to get out while using a method modeling that behavior.

Solution

4media group team members got down to work. Using existing technology, they designed a way to conduct a completely virtual satellite media tour, executing the entire project from inception to delivery very quickly. Our media buyers immediately reached out to local and national news outlets to secure coverage. The spokesperson hosted the tour from his home office in Dallas, demonstrating that the company was as socially aware as the viewing audience.  With the crew handling technical aspects from yet another city, the pieces of the fully virtual tour were in place.

Outcome

4media group’s media relations team facilitated a completely earned satellite media tour, securing a total of 24 interviews. Outlets included national platforms such as NBC NewsChannel, as well as local television and radio stations in markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Washington, D.C.
