4media group was commissioned by the Consumer Technology Association to conduct a series of 5 to 8 Satellite Media Tours (SMTs) throughout the year to help them showcase their member’s consumer tech products. Many of these were linked to seasonal editorial events including spring and summer fitness, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Back-to-School tech and Holiday tech gifts.

The Mother’s Day SMT in May 2018 was particularly notable, landing coverage on a number of stations including the NBC News Feed who conducted the interview and then distributed it across it’s 56 affiliate stations. For this SMT, CTA invited a tech expert to front the campaign who showcased a range of potential tech gifts for the tech-savvy mom. The items included a personal robot, wearable fitness gear and Bluetooth headphones among others.

The SMT also landed coverage on the Spanish language network, Univision. The Consumer Technology Association utilized their Spanish-speaking spokesperson, who was on hand to take part in the interview. This interview alone garnered an audience view of 500,000.
