Job Summary:

4media group is seeking to hire a VP of Paid Media to head our Media Buying division. We are a team of experienced media all-stars that work together to drive the best outcomes for our clients. VP, Paid Media: In this role, you will manage a staff of 3 or more media buyers, and you will help create and execute traditional and digital media strategy. You will monitor and optimize campaigns, and you will see projects through to final reporting and analytics.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Daily running of the Media Buying Dept., including determining staff work assignments, overseeing staff training, identifying and implementing workflow processes and carrying out the tasks assigned by senior management.
  • Being the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Media Buying and participating in strategy meetings with clients and colleagues.
  • Identifying the media best suited to meet a client’s campaign goals.
  • Preparing client-facing media plans and decks and supporting the sales and strategy teams with the presentation of media buying strategies.
  • Building relationships with media vendors and keeping up to date with industry trends
  • Negotiating with media sales reps to obtain the best rates and most appropriate media placement in streaming, OTT, broadcast, OOH, print (sponsored content), digital advertising, social media, etc.
  • Budget management for the department, as well as for individual projects
  • Coordinating with the creative teams on all material production deadlines
  • Adjusting media schedules in response to changes
  • PO and expense tracking of all media buys in your purview
  • Ensuring that media schedules run accurately and follow up on paperwork, make goods, invoice reconciliation, proof of performance and post-analysis
  • Working with the Reporting Dept. on performance reporting and/or creating custom reports for various types of buys
  • Analyzing the effectiveness of the campaign and using this data to plan future programs.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
