As the VP of Public Relations for 4media group, your role will be at the forefront of shaping the public narrative for our regional NWA clients. You will be the strategic partner our clients trust to build and enhance their brand presence, positioning them as leaders in their industries. Your leadership will empower a small but growing, high-performing team of professionals to deliver impactful, results-driven campaigns. By leveraging your deep media relationships and creative PR strategies, you will ensure that our clients not only meet but exceed their communication objectives. The role will lead all communications and marketing for the Bentonville office and be responsible for all regional NWA opportunities as they come in. This role requires a visionary approach to integrated communications, understanding both the current landscape and the future direction of the media and communications industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management & Mentoring:
- Acts as a liaison between the department and wider group, including junior team members; problem-solve as needed.
- Proactively communicate with management on all Bentonville PR work.
- Grow and develop the team over time in terms of both active interviewing and recruitment as well as on going personal team development and mentoring.
- Communicate priorities on a daily and weekly basis to junior staff and ensure reports are submitted on time and deadlines are met.
- Connect with each employee personally, offering help and guidance in overcoming challenges, personal growth, etc.
- Assist with identifying potential new hires and may participate in the recruitment process via interviews when needed.
- Help the team process and improve their writing and presentation skills
- Deliver great work and earn new work because of it.
- Relationship Building: Foster and develop strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers across corporations, PR agencies, and brands.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions based on client needs, market insights, and industry trends.
- Client Success: Support client engagement, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the whole 4media group service team including media planners/buyers, broadcast PR specialists, and senior sales teams to create integrated communications strategies for clients.
- Account Management:
- Work with senior management with client contacts on all elements of launching and managing a new account (includes timelines/planning calendars, messaging architecture, press kit materials, media training, chain of communications and approvals, etc.).
- Act as a senior strategic partner who challenges clients with smart thinking, anticipates the next inquiry, and offers strategic guidance and client counsel.
- Identify key priorities/deliverables for clients and help set and manage realistic expectations as part of day-to-day communications and dialogue.
- Manage annual account reviews and new annual public relations plans for continuing clients.
- Oversee monthly activity reports, time management and budgets
- Maintain strong client contact and creates new campaign ideas and initiatives.
- Regularly monitor client’s goals and objectives; addressing challenges and successes in meeting best achievable goals, and reevaluate as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for incremental projects.
- Actively participate in creative brainstorms in group and team meetings and may create action plans from recommendations.
- Identify and addresses issues before they become problems with clients (and staff).
- Writing/Editing:
- Review and edit monthly and quarterly activity and media coverage reports as developed by junior staff and distribute to clients.
- Final editor and reviewer of all press releases, pitch letters and communication materials written by reporting team members prior to client distribution.
- Contribute to the development of client presentations.
- Media/Influencer Relations:
- Help with contract negotiations for talent, brand spokespersons, celebrities and influencers.
- Meet and exceed media coverage goals set by the group for each project.
- Events/Campaign Management:
- Finalize event and launch strategy documents.
- Oversee end-to-end events execution and special campaigns and ensure all logistics are completed to the client’s standards.
- Oversee event budgets and provide regular updates to the client on event requirements.
- New Business:
- Generate leads, prospect new business, and sell content, communications and digital services to local not-for-profit, associations, brands and agencies.
- To accurately scope and cost all sales opportunities working with the internal sales leaders.
- Reporting & Insights: Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, market trends, and client feedback to senior leadership.
- Work with the sales team as required for creative ideas for new business proposals.
- Attend and present new business presentations, meetings and scouting opportunities.

Key Skills & Attributes:
- Direct Industry Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Public Relations with a proven track record of selling communications services in the PR industry, and expertise in broadcast, digital, content production, and/or influencer marketing to brands and agencies.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Ambitious, driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure.
- Display strong team leadership and ensure that the team continues to be a driving force.
- Maintain a thorough, demonstrated understanding of clients’ businesses and industries; actively follow and understand emerging issues, trends and news impacting your clients’ business, and proactively advise the team and client regarding how best to leverage or address these developments.
- Ability to provide high-level counsel to clients about communications in different aspects, including strategy, thought leadership building, media relations as well as issues and crisis management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Experience in managing and motivating a team, as well as contributing to overall company development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present in a strategic customer-centric and persuasive manner.
